Next Steps

1) Free 15 minute consultation

This is not a therapy session. It’s simply a chance for us to:

  • Talk about what’s bringing you in

  • Discuss your goals

  • Answer any questions you have

  • See if working together feels like a good fit

There’s no pressure to commit. You’re gathering information — just like you would with any important decision. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first session and I'll send you some paperwork.

2) Your First Session

In your first session, we will:

  • Explore what’s been weighing on you

  • Clarify what you want to change or improve

  • Identify immediate coping strategies if needed

  • Begin outlining a plan for our work together

You don’t need to prepare anything. You don’t need to have the “right words.” Just show up as you are.

3) Ongoing Support
  • Counseling  is collaborative and paced according to your needs.

  • Some clients come weekly. Others biweekly. We’ll decide together what makes sense for your schedule and goals.

  • If you’re in a demanding role — such as nursing or emergency services — we’ll build strategies that are realistic for your lifestyle. Therapy should support your life, not add more pressure.

Common Questions

What does a session with you cost?

My fee is $100 per 50 minute session. If you have questions or concerns about finances, let's talk.

Can I use my insurance?

Right now, I am not paneled with insurances. That means you pay me directly. I can provide you with a superbill (like an invoice) of what you have paid for services that you can submit it to your insurance to receive any reimbursement they may give you. Each insurance and plan handles the reimbursement for services from an out of network provider differently. I cannot guarantee you reimbursement so it is best to check with your insurance provider for your specific details.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s exactly what the consultation call is for. You don’t have to be certain, just curious enough to explore. You can also check out my blog, Between Sessions, to get more of an idea of what counseling with me might be like.

What if I’m used to handling things on my own?
Many of my clients are. Reaching out doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re choosing support before things become harder.

What if I’ve never done therapy before?
That’s okay. I’ll guide you through the process step by step.

You don't have to do this alone

If you spend your days caring for others, responding to emergencies, or being the steady one for everyone around you, it can feel unnatural to shift into the role of receiving support.

But you deserve a space where you can exhale.

If you’re ready — or even just considering it — I invite you to take the first step and reach out.
