More About Me

Amory Verroulx, M.A. M.S., BCBA, LCPC-C
I have always been curious to understand others, to deeply connect with their stories and experiences, and to help others make meaningful life changes. I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they know, what skills and resources they have, and what they believe they can do. Change is possible; I've seen it.
I have an alphabet soup of professional letters after my name that tell you I've been helping people learn and make changes in their lives for more than 20 years. In my professional journey, I've held many different roles across multiple careers. Notably, I'm a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst as well as a Conditionally Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
My professional experiences have enabled me to bring a variety of skills, knowledge, and perspectives into counseling. My integrated counseling style uses several theoretical perspectives and interventions, which gives me the flexibility to develop treatment that is uniquely tailored for each client's needs and goals. Some of my counseling influences include:
-
CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy)
-
ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy)
-
DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy)
-
Narrative Therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems),
-
Individual or Adlerian Psychology
-
Solution Focused Therapy
-
